Last August 14, 2010, an Australian-Filipino parent, Mr. Karim Pacis, gave a talk on“Biomedical Interventions in the Treatment of Autism”. Mr. Pacis, a member of the Townsville group of the Autism Association in Australia, is a registered nurse, who has an 11 year old son with autism, Mitchell. Mitchell has been having therapy sessions at A Child’s DREAM in 2010. Doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers, parents attended the lecture-forum. The discussion included cod liver oil & colostrum supplementation, autism therapy, stem cell therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, among others. A Child’s D.R.E.A.M. (Developmental Rehabilitative Early Assessment & Management) Foundation, Inc. is Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for special children.
